Hi Patrick- Thanks for your post to the forum. How do you give feedback on the hands on practice evalautions? Best wishes - Susan
HI Curran - Thanks for your post to the forum. Using questions that you know your students will encounter out in the field is great. Anything we can do to make them successful in their careers is important. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
HI Justin - Bringing in material to class probably cots you nothing but your time, but as you say the students can really learn a lot from those resources. Excellent! Susan
Hi Peggy- Thanks for your post to the forum. Yes, that unfortunately is the case. I have seen students who did poorly in high school, because they were primarily lectured to, suddenly become great students because we are teaching to their learning styles. Really exciting! Best wishes - Susan
Hi Bill-Thanks for your post to the forum. Amazing how much more assigned reading gets done when students know to expect that quiz! Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
HI Justin - do you use grading rubrics for the projects you assign? I think it's great that your students must explain how their projects relate to what they have learned in their classes. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
Hi Michelle - thanks for a very interesting post to the forum! You definitely understand the importance of teaching to the learning styles! Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
Hi Brandon- Thanks for your post to the forum. In order to get our students to use critical thinking skills, as you mention, we need to prepare questions that will take them to that level. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
That's great Richard - all that practicing really pays off! Best wishes- Susan
Hi Faylee- Thanks for your post to the forum. While many adult students have learned to adapt to other learning styles just through their life and/or work experience, we do find adults that will not learn well unless their dominant style is addressed. This is why, as you point out, we MUST adjust our delivery to meet these challenges. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
