Comparing student's Norm-referenced assessments which are used to compare the skills of others within a particular group helps gage whether or not individual delivery methods need to be adjusted if a student is following below the average or misunderstanding critical course content. 

Summative assessments are a fantastic tool to assess the students learning at the end of a project or course. Be able to determine what students know & what they do not know. 

Student feedback regarding the benefit of the use of technology is important to understand the efficacy of whichever specific tool was used. These questions should be an addition to the end of course survey that students complete at the end of each term.
