Being ethical is a professional responsibility. Ethics should not be a decision we make it should be woven into our character to ensure that the best decisions are made at all times.

Slowing down and pausing when necessary allows you to connect with individuals during communication for you to recognize if the information was understood. When we want to ensure an informed decision  is taking place we will adapt for clarity and understanding in communication.

Decision making is not a linear path. Information is readily accessible through a myriad of different ways. We should not create friction and a false sense of urgency for people to make a decision. We should respect the difference  paths  and offer the information necessary to make the most informed decision.

I enjoyed learning about the evolution of Admissions to the many facets the role entails today. One thing that remains consistent is the Admissions Representative's commitment to remaining ethical and ensuring the student has the correct information to make an informed decision.
