Different lecture styles may offer a variety of perspectives with the students. Combining the different styles of lectures can create a more interactive environment for the students.

I think taking some focus to remember student names and have a positive first interaction is the key to creating an environment where students are willing to participate and take interest in what's being instructed.

Preparation and engagement are critical to reaching a desired outcome.  Subject matter and information can be referenced much easier when a syllabus is used.

Discovering today how to implement different instructor styles for different environmental settings, class vs. lab for example. Ive gained a better understanding of the purpose behind the disciplinary processes for students. Also, a new perspective on how the professionalism has a motivating and a learning effect on the students.
