Online learning environments are improved with constant communication and clear instructions.  As an instructor understanding the different needs of students will improve overall leraning.

I like the idea of socializing a bit at the beginning of class and then tying everything up at the end.  I plan to try that in my online classes.

Understanding what the student sees, ensuring clear concise communication and instructions will decrease student frustration in the course.
