About me

I am an Education Advisor/Consultant for MaxKnowledge. I write courses that assist in the professional development of career college instructors. These courses range in content from the introductory level to advanced instructional development. I started my teaching career as an instructional technology teacher on the high school level, completed graduate school and then moved into higher education. I spent many years in the area of teacher training at the University of Nebraska. While at the University of Nebraska I stared working with career college instructors to improve their instructional delivery skills. As a result of these experiences I have been a consultant to career colleges throughout the United States and a number of foreign countries.

Effective Motivation Techniques

Hi Gary, I call this "connecting the dots" between school and the real world. These examples show clearly how career progress can be made if the individual will put forth the effort to acquire the knowledge and skills. We move toward what we are interested in. So if we want to progress in our careers we need to put forth the effort to separate ourselves from the "herd". Hi Gary, Good point. Without expertise everything kinda falls apart since students are there to be educated by experts in the field so they can be successful upon graduation. Strategies for Increasing Student Motivation

Hi Katie, I like them as well. They really help to set the stage for my classes. They get my students talking, interacting, and laughing as they get settled into the course.
