That it is important to move around the class and not sit behind the desk. Use notecards if needed. Make eye contact and make sure you are projecting your voice 

Meditation, sleep, and self care is very important

As a new instructor I would have to say that making notes from my mistakes and make changes right way. And that I am only human. And not to be mad with myself and learn from the situation. 

I have a couple of students that attention seekers. I love the idea of moving these students to the front or putting them in groups with other students to change the dynamic.

I love the idea of creating different color pages and highlighting the expectations in the syllabus. It will definitely help. I also agree with the idea of all students getting to know each other on the first day and the instructor to set the tone. I will have to try the airplane ice breaker and see how it goes.
