Resumes and cover letters go hand in hand when applying for a job.  Cover letters can encompass experience that relates to the employer's mission statement and the characteristics that you have that cannot be showcased in a resume.

In my industry of cosmetology, it is difficult to find job shadowing opportunities.  Franchisees are usually the places that consider it.  However, most of the franchises have such a turnaround on employees and can be an unsafe environment for highschool students.  

What are some of your best ways of finding job shadowing opportunites?

I am a Cosmetology Instructor with my masters in CTE Education.  I have recently been licensed as a Coop Career Coodinator.  I have learned a few things thus far:

First, as I will be providing leads for job shadowing and coop opportunities.  I want to ask what are the perks vs the vs the benefits of working with your establishment.

Second, I want my students to create a social mindmap of what their social groups are and how they can assist with find opportunites for themselves.
