It is highly possible to promote a warm and welcoming atmosphere in an online environment.  I like the idea of shared short biographies.  Honest, thorough, and accurate responses to learners' queries build facilitator-learner connection. 

The greatest challenge in course delivery  in an online environment,  is be able to cover and imprint in the minds of learners essential concepts, get them engaged and interactive, and track individual progress.  This is my takeaway from this part of the training.
