Activity

I've learned that we are all nervous on our first day, however being prepared and asking for help are the best solutions.

I've learned how to communicate with my students when they feel angry, quiet, or disengaged.

I've learned to assess what my student needs and adapt to what would benefit their needs.

I've learned to establish clear expectations for students regarding grades etc.

I've learned to really mix my delivery and course content to keep students active and involved.

It's pivotal that you create an environment where they can come to you with questions or concerns. Remembering their names and letting them get to know each other will help them feel comfortable and excited to learn.

I've learned that you can never be too prepared. Show up early and create a comfortable environment for your students. Thoroughly write your syllabus.

I've learned how to be professional in all aspects of my teaching, so I can be a great example to my students. I've also learned how to keep growing professionally and personally so I can be ready and present to start my class.
