I appreciated learning about the socratic method, how to respond to correct, partially correct, and incorrect answers from students. There is no such thing as a stupid question. Stupid only when not asked. 

keeping the students engaged is important to see that the are getting the information they need and are retaining that information and retrieving it for use on tests. 

setting the tone that first day of class is important, by the end of the first class our students should have a sense of where they are going and how theyll get there, a feeling that other members of the class are not strangers, an awareness that you care about their learning, and finally an expectation the course will be valuable and enjoyable.

We Learned what Instructional Objectives are, and the 4 components that make them effective, also how to create a class syllabus, and what it should contain to be well prepared, and show your students you take your teaching seriously.

as an educator, i myself need to keep learning and changing course content to keep up with industry standards, and also to model professionalism, and how to do so. 

understand how to not get bored, unenthusiastic, or complacent in class.  using applications, or illustrations on how content can be used, students will better store information, and retrieve it for applicatoin.   But also how to REFOCUS and get reengaged and excited about the course.  the Crisis game was a very nice tactic to learn from this module. 

Projecting the "Human Factor" is huge for instructors.  learning students names, and a tidbit of information about them, can really build a good positive rapport. this will help provide personalized education for the students, and build an open positive atmosphere, which will help keep them stay engaged and looking forward to class.  

Examining the entirety of the class to get a scope of the diversity of the individuals, this will help to ultimatley determine what they will need intrinsically and extrinsically as students to get the most out of the class, and hopefully help them connect with me as an instructor, to be able to meet those needs.
