To be confident in your skills, understand we all make mistakes, do not overthink situations that may not happen and take notes on lectures that you have presented to proivide you with feed back on what worked and how you should you try some different approaches

We will encounter many different types of students. The first thing is engage the student with communication and understanding no matter the issue may be. Create a plan for yourself and have the student create a plan for themselves on how to do better. Aalways as your colleges for advice and if need be involve the insitution or counseling center for help.

There are multiple ways to help challenging students within the classroom envirnments. Some you can play up to help the student themselves as well as the class as a whole and others you will need to take a more direct approach and set boundaries. All have good and bad attributtes and you shoud not just but assist and insit when needed. They will not only learn to handle themselves better but also improve you as a teacher for future classes.

Engage students both physical and mentally with critical thinking skills applied to real world situtations.

Ensure all timelines are well understood

make sure these adult learning students understand this is career preperation and will thus reflect on them as entry level employees

Call the class together and review the successes and areas of concern that you’ve seen

Make notes to yourself on how you might improve the demonstration next time.

If there is rapport between you and your students they will connect with the content you are sharing and their retention will be higher. They will be focused on what you are sharing with them because they know you consider this information important.

No matter how many times you have performed a procedure you should always go through it before class to make sure you have included all of the steps… >>>

I have learned to engage my students in every aspect of learning from the moment they step into mu class room

ensure that everyday ends with

  1. A sense of where they’re going and how they’ll get there.
  2. A feeling that the other members of the class are not strangers.
  3. An awareness that you care about their learning.
  4. An expectation that the course will be both valuable and enjoyable

I have learned to prepare early in all acspects of the lesson, most importantly prior. I need to make sure I know how what to teach the subject matter, how to keep and inform students of the timeline and expectations as well learning the students on the fly and with dedicated preperation.

Thank you,
