Our district ties CTE to career development mainly through partnerships with technical colleges and industry certifications, plus courses like Principles of Marketing that lead into the CLEP exam. Technology shows up as the connector in all of it — from credit-tracking systems to computer-based certification exams and testing.

Social and Emotional Learning is learning how people should control their behaviors/emotions and not let their behaviors/emotions control them. It's about building relationships and making good choices.

Career Ed Lounge is embedded in over eighty professional development portals serving the career and technical education community. Performance Groups in the Lounge are integrated with related learning opportunities offered on these portals. With a few exceptions, Performance Groups are also publicly available to any member of the Lounge to maximize peer-to-peer learning and performance outcomes.
