when you have clear learning objectives it will help you create your lesson plans and in those plans you should have hands on activities to help enforce the information being taught. 

This has helped bring back the information I learned in my masters degree program I took a few years ago. Teaching Surgical Technology students needs to be hands on and less lecture and I do this as much as possible and I alwaus look for more opportunities to do this.
