I have learned there are so many variations of the disablities and some of the hardest to address are the behavioral ones- especiallay when you don't neceasarily see the disability physically. There are so many layers to address and reading through these articles helps to create a starting place of peeling back some of these layers and have some understanding of the every day difficulties faced by many students.

What I got out of this module is that how the course is designed, the consistency of the layout , how to mix different approaches to the subject matter will ensure that the students will be more engaging and interested without feeling isolated even if they don't all have the same technical skills and will be successful towards the end goal.

I realize how important being proactive in my syllabi (detailed expectations and information) as well as lesson presentations are   by using as many of these techniques emphasized throughout this module. As an instructor our role is all encompassing  on many fronts to ensure an enironment that is engaging, motivating and informative throughout the course designed with the student's needs being paramount. Feedback and prompt responeses are critical to develop an environment that is welcoming and inclusive.

I have learned that both techniques have value to the student as well as the instructor and the key factors to emphasize are communication, organization, consistancy and developing and nurturing an enironment that the student can answer questions privately when needed during a virtual class or have plenty of options for backup if doing a project asychronously while  knowing what the paremeters of the course involve: including timelines and expectations.  They also need to see their progress develop and grow through interactions and discussions with each other and the instructor to reaffirm what they know or struggle with for continued… >>>

The key concept that I came away with from this module is that is necessary first to recognize your teaching style/styles then see if that can be expanded. Then match the correct technology tools to the instructional objectives  for the best fluid delivery to meet your students individual needs. Having a better understanding of how to best use/match technology available to allows for a more interactive, interesting delivery= better student attention and a more direct path for success.
