Understanding how students learn

I found this exercise to be very helpful. I have used many of these tips to help me in the classroom in previous classes I have taught. However, it was great knowing that many of these tips others have used or reccommended as well. One of the main things I do believe is that we as class instructors and facilitators are in a position where we are constantly learning as well as the students. I teach many technological classes and I do find that I learn something more when I teach a new set of students. Things I did not know in previous classes.

I also enjoyed this course.  In the future, I hope to incorporate some of these strategies that were discussed.  Also, I too learn to teach better with every new group of students and with different courses; many times I have reminded my students that we are all lifelong learners.  We need to never let "Life" destroy our quest for learning; we always need to maintain a passion for our career endeavors.  We continually perform, learn, excel in our careers because we love it!

I do believe that I may be able to use the information that learned in EL109. I believe that the information will help me create better rubrics.

This course was helpful.  I may try to implement other coping techniques listed throughout the reading.
