New to Teaching

I have only been teaching for a short time just a few months. My first day in class I was very nervous and did not know what to expect. I wish I would have taken this course prior to that first day because I think I would have been better prepared. I feel that I gained very valueble knowledge through this course. I am excited to start using the things I have learned. I know my students will benefit greatly from my taking this course. I am going to start applying and implementing the things I have learned right away.

You will continue to gain knowledge--continue inservices and each course you teach you will learn more about yourself and being prepared. My experience is 12 years plus teaching young adults, and I still feel the event before my lecture and successfully implementing all the objectives. I have also applied materials from this course recently.

I agree that this training would of been most benefical prior to your first day of class. This information and tutoring is so benfical with defined teaching strategies.

Although my first day in front of a class was 30 years ago , I also remember well how scared I was! Thankfully there are now so many more excellent faculty development programs like Maxknowledge! best wishes for continued success in your teaching career!
