A very interesting transition

I have been a field operative for most of my life.

This course has opened me up to the differences between training and teaching.

I have learned that "teaching" involves more of the students in a "concert" rather then just as a solo preformance.

Michael I like your view on teaching being a concert rather than a solo performance.  This is so true.  I am a fairly new instructor, but one thing I have discovered already is the need to actively involve students in the learning process.  If this is not done the will become bored and unmotivated.  One way I try to accomplish this is to use learning games to get them involved. They seem to like it a lot.

I loved the learning games in ED310.  I'm a new teacher and I've found that I teach how my old instructors taught which was very "traditional" (long quiet powerpoint lectures) and I've seen how much more students can get out of a lecture if they are more active.  I strongly encourage you to try some of the activities in ED310.
