The National Forum on Career Success (formerly known as The Student Retention Forum) was founded in 2007 and organized as an independent group in pursuit of best practices in student retention. Thought leaders gathered to share this knowledge with the members of the Assocation of Private Sector Colleges and Universities (APSCU) in 2007 to a standing-room only crowd; this event has drawn over 100 attendees each year since. From the beginning, it was clear--the degree of interest in retention best practices was a gap that wasn't being met by any other group.
