Often times as professionals we can get caught up in our experiences and credentials that we forget to self check ourselves. This is monumental in the light of our technical future that we are racing towards everyday. Educators, including myself have to be open and intentional with learning new tricks that will allow us to bond and relate with the youth for years to come. You can always teach a old dog new tricks, but that old dog may need technology to assist them and being the best they can be. 

Taking this training has also opened my mind to how I can interact with other professors to advance my lesson plans and knowledge by leveraging their strengths and knowledge. I believe this is where a department can go from good to great!
