This course introduced me to something very new to me.  I never had the chance to get involved in any service learning activity before, and this course provided me with what I need to know about service learning and its importance to the institution, students, and the community.  I have been recently assigned to start a service learning program for our new program, and I thought it was as simple as finding a site and get them to allow us to do service learning.  Well, it was not.  Now, I am excited to work on this project because I feel that I am more knoweldgeable, I know what to look for and what questions to ask, and feel free and confident to make minor decisions.
