ED101

I have always given my students a complete syllabus the first day of class and gone over it thoroughly to make sure they understand what is expected of them.  I feel that if you give students the correct information it really helps in keeping them in line with deadlines and also helps them realize that when they get out there in the job market what an employer is expecting them to do also.

Margaret,

A complete syllabus also covers you, when students say they did not know about an assignment, when it was due, your rules for the class, etc.  Any changes that you have to make to your syllabus, during the quarter, you should print that revised syllabus and give one to every student; again, this is to cover you if needed.

First day of classes I do give my students syllabus and read it with them. So they know what chapter we are covering and if there is any project is involve or not, and explains my strudents about their grading.
