I am a Cosmetology Instructor with my masters in CTE Education. I have recently been licensed as a Coop Career Coodinator. I have learned a few things thus far:
First, as I will be providing leads for job shadowing and coop opportunities. I want to ask what are the perks vs the vs the benefits of working with your establishment.
Second, I want my students to create a social mindmap of what their social groups are and how they can assist with find opportunites for themselves.
I also found the beauty websites to be helpful as their are not too many out there for my industry besides craigslist, sometimes indeed.com, and word of mouth.
I agree that finding the right fit could be hard at first but in the long run it will serve a person well to not job-hop. Word of mouth can be the end of a career easily.
