From this unit, I learned more about the importance of having all members on the same page. This hadn't really occurred to me before as I just assumed that members would figure it out as they went along, which has been my experience on other boards. I think that having an onboarding packet makes a lot of sense.
Writing the bylaws seems worthwhile, but I would love a template to follow to make the process a bit less time consuming. As an educator, I always want the members to write the laws and rules with me as a large group, but I am imagining that would be cumbersome. Have others tried writing them as a team? How did it go?
