What I’ve learned from this module is that the buying cycle has evolved significantly over time. In the past, the process was much simpler, with limited methods available for both selling and purchasing. Today, however, there is virtually unlimited access to information, along with increased competition across institutions.
Additionally, students no longer want to feel pressured or “sold to.” They expect quick, efficient, and convenient access to information, as well as flexible options to study and progress at their own pace. Because of this shift, admissions professionals play a crucial role in guiding prospective students and helping them make informed decisions.
I also learned that traditional interviews can be very time-consuming and may not be as effective in today’s fast-paced environment. Modern students prefer processes that are quicker, more accessible, and often remote, which reflects the growing demand for convenience and efficiency in the admissions experience.
