Through the CTE Teaching Trends topic, I learned that modern CTE instruction is shifting toward more student-centered, skills-based, and industry-aligned practices. Current trends emphasize competency-based education, real-world problem solving, work-based learning, and the integration of employability skills alongside technical instruction. Technology, industry partnerships, and CTSOs also play a growing role in keeping programs relevant and engaging. I intend to apply these trends by incorporating hands-on, scenario-based learning, using formative feedback to support skill mastery, and staying connected with industry partners to ensure my instruction reflects current workforce expectations. By doing so, I can better prepare students for postsecondary education, certification, and employment.
