Instructional alignment helped me understand how important it is to intentionally connect what I teach, how I teach it, and how I assess student learning especially in a CTE classroom where safety, skill mastery, and employability are critical. As a new CTE teacher, I plan to align my lessons with industry standards and course objectives, clearly model expectations, and use assessments that reflect real-world tasks students will actually perform. I also intend to regularly reflect on whether my instructional strategies are meeting the needs of diverse learners and make adjustments as needed. By maintaining strong instructional alignment, I can create a more effective, consistent, and meaningful learning experience that prepares students for both certification and the workplace.
