This module reinforced the importance of selecting qualified faculty who not only meet educational and accreditation requirements but also bring valuable industry experience to the classroom. I learned that effective faculty recruitment involves professional networking, carefully evaluating credentials, and considering an instructor’s experience with online learning platforms and diverse student populations.
As an Academic Program Director, I plan to apply this knowledge by strengthening our faculty recruitment process, ensuring compliance with ACCSC standards, and placing greater emphasis on industry experience and online teaching skills. I will also continue supporting faculty through professional development and regular evaluations to ensure our students receive a quality education that prepares them for success in their careers.
