This module reinforced the importance of creating accessible and inclusive learning environments for all students. I learned that many students have disabilities that may not be visible and that accessibility should be considered during the course design process rather than added later as an accommodation. I also gained a better understanding of assistive technologies, common barriers students may face in online learning environments, and the importance of providing course content in multiple formats.

As an online instructor, I intend to apply these concepts by reviewing my courses to ensure that materials are accessible and available in a variety of formats whenever possible. I will continue to provide clear instructions, use accessible documents and media, and work collaboratively with disability services when accommodations are needed. By designing courses with accessibility in mind from the beginning, I can help create a learning environment where all students have an equitable opportunity to participate, engage, and succeed.
