When we're planning a road trip to the horizons of our future - let's first make sure we know if we're driving a large vehicle with a manual transmission, and potential inclement weather - and in such events, how to navigate such eventualities!  A lesson plan, syllabus, goals, objectives, and all this is like an atlas before we get to understand what vehicles we're using to traverse what landmarks!

How will we know when we're on the right track, and how will we be confident we've got this covered?  This is exciting stuff, and it's way less intimidating and stressful when we have a clear understanding of what to expect, and what is expected of us - so our students know when they're lost - turned around, or on the right track.  At any point, it's not shameful to ask for help, but we don't want to hear "are we there yet?" On repeat from the classroom!
