Clear and Honest Communication in My Admissions Work

I learned that all the advertising an institution uses (like ads, social media posts, emails, flyers, or events) must be clear, honest, and follow the rules that protect consumers. I also understood that, as an admissions advisor, it’s important to know the marketing plan well, because students form expectations based on what they see in those ads. To apply this, I will review the marketing materials, ask for updated versions when they change, and make sure I give accurate and consistent information. When I participate in events or talk to students, I will keep in mind that I represent the institution and must communicate transparently. Overall, this module helped me reinforce the importance of working ethically and clearly so students receive real and trustworthy information.
