Definition and Importance of Active Learning
This module helped me understand the importance of active learning in online courses and the role of the instructor in facilitating meaningful learning experiences. I learned that students benefit from activities that encourage critical thinking, collaboration, reflection, and active participation rather than simply receiving information. I intend to apply these strategies in my environmental science classes by incorporating group discussions, practical examples, reflective assignments, and interactive activities related to real-world environmental issues. My goal is to create a more engaging, student-centered learning environment that encourages students to take an active role in their education.
