Learned that "Instructors who are considering incorporating technology for the purpose of reaching the younger generation need to ensure that use of the technology will truly help this group with learning."  It helps in providing "sound instruction"

Learned that the " Gen X members tend to be guided by the overall big question: Does it work? This demonstrates their more pragmatic approach to life and even technology. It is not as important to this cohort how something works, it is just important that it does work." Something to be aware of.

I agree with statement tha "The instructional delivery models being used in today’s educational settings not only involve a greater use of technology but also require students to focus on self discovery, discipline and critical thinking skills."

Iearned that to improve confidence and good result "The ARCS-based email template can be used to help staff construct more effective emails. Such an email would need to contain statements designed to gain students’ attention, demonstrate relevance, and enhance confidence and satisfaction."

I agree with the highlight that "Communicating with students through technology is quite different from face-to-face interactions. Education professionals need to be aware of these differences if they wish to develop strong working alliances with students they may never meet face-to-face."

Learned that "strong working alliances and communication are linked to retention"

That "It is important to consider students’ personality traits when developing activities because when students are working through activities that align well with their brightest/highest color (and many times their second color as well), they are happy in what they are doing."

I agree with the statement that "When the instructor creates a sense of community. Students understand how they fit within the learning community and thus are comfortable sharing with their peers."

Seth Soronnadi

Learned that  "In general, blue personality types are very people-pleasing-oriented, gold personality types are pragmatic planners, green personality types are independent thinkers, and orange personality types are very action-oriented. Something to keep on the look out.

Interesting to know that "Problem-based learning is defined as instruction which starts with a problem. The problem can be anything, and scenarios that exist in the real world are quite rewarding to use. Students can delve into particular topics and build their opinions, thoughts and ideas based on their prior knowledge and course resources, as well as the direction of the online instructor."
