In today’s world, students are exposed to a wealth of information on the internet, and versatile with the computer at a very young age. For instructors, the traditional ways of teaching are not very effective as before, and teaching is becoming more and more demanding, as we try to incorporate and utilize different methods of teaching to meet the technological, general needs and learning styles of this generation. I am a business teacher and so my focus spans across math, communication and technology. Each day I am charged with the responsibility to ensure that my teaching strategies are of such that no student is left behind, and that each of those students regardless of their background, strengths, deficiencies are able to participate, learn, and contribute to the learning process.

In lieu of the above, I chose this course to find additional ways of engaging my students, especially those who may struggle with some form of deficiency in learning. At times I have to spend a lot of time preparing effective lesson plans to ensure that students have the knowledge and skills required for them to function in a very competitive world. As business teachers, we try to go above and beyond to make these students feel included in the learning equation. I am also affiliated with the Stem Institute and NAF Academy, where our goal is to train and prepare students to pursue studies in Technology, Math and Engineering, ensuing that they are compatible with other young people to take up jobs in these areas, as there is a high demand for them.

This reinforces the importance of differentiated instructions and the detection that each student has unique needs, learning styles and backgrounds. For example, some students may learn best through visual aid, while others may prefer hands on activities or auditory instruction. An effective instructor identifies these differences and adjusts their teaching strategies accordingly. You have to be dedicated, extremely caring, well organized, your instructions should be of such that students are well engaged, lots of hands-on activities, especially for the ADHD students. It also requires a lot of monitoring, and one and one basis with these students. Meanwhile, other students may require your assistance, so somewhere along the line a few students can become short changed. I believe to a certain extent that it may be better for them to be taught separately,… >>>

At the beginning of the course, I will distribute surveys to gather information about students' interests, learning… >>>

One of the issues that I am experiencing with my students is plagiarism, students no longer want to brainstorm ideas and then utilize the AI platform for additional information or development. One of the strategies that caught my eyes while reviewing the course is encouraging students to brainstorm ideas, and then use the AI (prezi AI) to enhance the document. For example when students are preparing resumes/letters, they can create a skeleton resume and then transfer it to the AI platform for enhancement. … >>>

Defining terms is important, as it enables students to understand and to practice communicating the terms relating to the job especially in the field of technology. This also makes conversations more fluent and it helps to expedite activities.. It also makes it easier to understand information and carry out responsibilities, especially when they enter the workforce. Additionally, employers, supervisors feel more comfortable when employees utilise the language pertaining to the job, management feels more confident when designating positions.
