In this age of Gainful Employment and enhanced government and regulatory scrutiny, academics will become more important than ever as career schools and colleges focus on improved outcomes as a means to demonstrate their worth and viability as critical providers of trained workers for the American economy. It will be necessary for academic deans to assume key leadership positions in their institutions to lead quality initiatives to improve student persistence, graduation and subsequent placement.

Faculty are critical to the success of students.  Therefore, creating processes that ensure effective faculty selection, retention and development is critical.

Impact of Proposed Gainful Employment Regulation

There is no general accepted definition or measure of quality in higher education. However everyone can practice quality improvement by selecting the right measures and putting actions in place to improve against those measures.

Outcomes assessment is one of the ways in which we evaluate quality of education. Specifically we assess performance relative to a goal or an objective.
