One of the main issues that came up in discussion was the perception or misperception of career colleges. Would you share how your school is helping to combat the negative perceptions of career colleges?

Gainful Employment Solutions

The Imagine America Foundation has decided to make it's Fact Book 2010: A Profile of Career Colleges and Universities available electronically. Many in the career college community have requested access to the electronic version to use when they are meeting with congressional members. We hope the data from our Fact Book will help change the public's misperceptions of career colleges.

The research compiled by JBL Associates, Inc. is broken out into critical areas of impact, presenting data on enrollment, student benefits and outcomes, career college student profiles, default rates, return on investment statistics, and job opportunities for graduates.

IAF - Financial Planning Made Simple Presentation

The Financial Planning Made Simple (FPMS) was created by the Imagine America Foundation to help students protect their future. FPMS is an online-based tool to help career college students make responsible financial decisions. It consists of an 18 minute animated, interactive video with the student’s choice of two avatars to walk them through basic budgeting, borrowing and repayment process.

FPMS includes a downloadable student financial planning calculator that students can use to help them create a budget and determine the amount of loan they can afford, along with what the best post-graduation repayment plan is for them.
