About me

My background is in Human Resources, specifically training and development.  I have been a corporate trainer, have managed teams of developers, and held a client relationship manger position (liaison between corporate HR and business unit VPs).  I am co-founder of a not-for-profit organization that helps mid-level career professionals get back into the workforce.  And currently I am the Director of Alumni & Career Services for an on-line university.

Interesting observation - - makes me think of myself.  If I see a number come across my phone that I don't know, I won't answer it either.  And to your point, Susan, given the option to talk or email when it is convenient for me, I will choose the email.

This being said, however, I do still believe in the value of a phone interview.  I think it ads that additional personal touch that helps so much with building relationships.

Hello everyone!  I am in the process of setting up a Career Services department at an on-line university.  I'm curious as to whether anyone has an example of an individualized employment search plan that you have had success with, and that you would be willing to share.
