When I decided to leave the private sector and entered the public service of teaching, I brought with me the belief that my students were like my clients/customers and I owed them the very best of me and my scholarship to guide and facilitate their educational journey. This belief has served all stakeholders well over three decades.

Without a humane connection to all, irregardless whether they happen to be in our classes or not, we would do well to observe, listen, and respond in ways to serve all the best that we can. We need to care and our students will respond to our authenticity and thus, learn and want to retain content.

Comment on Ken Campbell's post: Ken-Thank you for sharing this insight; it served to humanize the module in real time.

Just sayin' Module 3 had quite a few of spelling errors in one of the charts! I thought it was a test of some kind whether I was close reading or not--mmm. The module was very detailed in explaining how to track our progress and increasing or decreasing proficiency with the different approaches (almost always with the TELL and TEAM). Looking forward to practicing ELA activities.

Most important considerations mentioned here as to how the TEAM aspect can be utilized. I am finding the downloads helpful and will take more time to review those offerings and how specifically I can apply to language and compostion studies. So far, I continue to build confidence in my ability to learn how to use AI as a tool that I can learn to wield appropriately and well for the benefit of my students.

Rubrics are time consuming and as I usually do is to lead my task with the students doing a close read on the specifics of the assessment that they will be doing. This excites me to think, that I may have a Team partner to help with this task.

Readily do I admit, I am a researcher and avid reader, so I will be curious to see what generative AI shares. I look forward to the Team approach as I dialogue with AI; we will see where I end up. I am sure I will receive even more lessons and activities to try out in the Fall.

Looking forward to the Professional Development offered by educational systems so that all stakeholders may benefit from the age of AI that has been with us for many years, but is just now trending.

The structuring of these modules is quite clear and it provides reminders to all stakeholders the importance of clarity of communication and formatting. I think the little I have learned so far, has indeed provided a sense of relief that there are opportunities here to revisit my best practices and improve upon.

Enjoying the clarity that these modules provide. For example, the concept of the time spent on lower-value tasks and freeing up the instructor's time to creating higher-value teaching activities. Personally, the amount of time I read and research to prepare the content is massive, yet enjoyable. Therefore, AI can be my assistant for the creation and formatting I do and I spend a lot of time and resources in these tasks.
