Compliance Issues

Dangerous Waters

Working for a Private, For-Profit, Career School in Ohio, we are pretty carefully schooled in what we can say, what we can't say, and what we MUST say.  Still, through this course I've discovered that there are a number of areas of confusion out there: areas where we are doing certain things in the name of "compliance" that we don't fully understand, giving perhaps too little emphasis to some things, and too much emphasis to others.  Anyone else encountering the same?

Gordon,

I also work for a private, for-profit institution and we are more than carefull about what we say and do when recruiting students. I feel like I am in training all the time because of changes, product knowledge, and compliancy regulations. I feel it is a good thing that all of the compliance regulations keep us careful. It really gives the students an honest and helpful college search experience.

I Agree!

I thought it was a great refresher course for me as well and gave excelent examples of things not to say or do that one may not realize is a violation of the new regulations.  Thanks for the great information!

I fully concur and I shall say no more!

I learned a lot from taking this compliance course. I was just what I needed.
