Organizational Structure

How do you rate your knowledge about the departments and people who work at your institution? Be specific about what you know and what you still need to learn and how you will do that.

I'm very familiar with our college's departments, who works in them, and a basic knowledge of what they do on a daily basis. It's very important as an Admissions Representative to know who to direct a student to if they need assistance in a particular area. It also gives you credibility with the student when they see that you have knowledge of other departments and how they work. My challenge is keeping up with changes that happen frequently with the education department, and keeping the communication open with education. We all have very busy schedules. I've started to regularly attend retention and campus leadership meetings to stay in communication with education, and to be aware of changes as they occur.
