The module reinforced the importance of making a positive first impression and establishing a supportive learning environment from the first day of class. I learned that clear communication of course expectations, professionalism, organization, and building rapport with students help set the foundation for student success.

This module reinforced the importance of thorough planning and preparation in creating effective learning experiences. I learned that successful instruction begins with clearly defined learning objectives, followed by selecting appropriate teaching strategies, learning activities, and assessment methods that align with those objectives. I plan to apply these concepts by continuing to design organized, student-centered nursing lessons that incorporate active learning, clinical scenarios, and meaningful assessments. 

This module helped me reflect on the importance of continuous growth as an educator and the impact that effective teaching practices have on student success.  I learned that successful instructors are lifelong learners who regularly evaluate their teaching methods, seek feedback, and adapt to the changing needs of students.

This module helped me better understand how active learning shifts focus from instructor-centered teaching to student engagement and participation. I learned that students develop stronger critical thinking, problem-solving, and clinical judgment skills when they are actively involved in the learning process rather than simply listening to a lecture.

This module reinforced the importance of active learning as a strategy to promote student engagement, critical thinking, and knowledge retention. I learned that students learn best when they are actively involved in the learning process through activities such as case studies, collaborative discussions, concept mapping, and problem-solving exercises. I plan to apply these principles in my nursing courses by incorporating more NCLEX-style questions, flipped classroom activities, think-pair-share exercises, and clinical scenarios that encourage students to analyze and apply concepts rather than memorize information. 

I learned that student engagement in online education requires intentional planning. I plan to use active learning strategies, rubrics, and structured feedback to support student growth and learning.

Active learning requires thoughtful planning. I plan to use active learning strategies by setting expectations early, using video reflections, and group projects to support my students' critical thinking process.

Active learning allows students to think critically, work collaboratively, and take accountability for their own learning. I plan to use more reflective writing and group work activities in my online courses to encourage participation and deepen understanding.
