Students who feel security will be more successful.  Support students' senses of security and receive better learning outcomes for students.

Showing enthusiasm, passion, and understanding of content is a must.  I plan to use this to engage students and develop relationships that build trust.

I loved the emphasis on nonverbal cues and engaging all students to participate in the learning.  I hadn't heard of REFOCUS before.

Providing opportunities for fun and student participation.  Don't be too guarded and let students be a major part of their active learning rather than trying to deliver everything outright.

This course emphasizes the importance of taking into account the experiences of all students in your course, regardless of their age.  It also reiterates being a good listener, but remaining solutions-oriented and not being sidetracked by complaints.  I liked the idea of grouping students to allow groups to hear from a variety of perspectives within a working group since lots of people may have different backgrounds and work experiences.
