Peer and self-review can help facilitate active learning and student engagement. Incorporating online platforms, such as Second Life, can provide a compelling way for students to interact and collaborate with each other for assignment work or reflection. 

Traditional classroom activities can be modified to incorporate active learning activities and assignments. This should be carefully planned and engineered for maximum accessibility. Technology limitations and a lack of instructor feedback/engagement can discourage student engagement and degrade the quality of learning. 

Technology uncertainty or technology problems can be a hurdle for accomplishing appropriate instruction. If an instructor or participant are not confident with the required technology tools, the quality of the instruction and/or learning will likely be diminished. 

Active learning incorporates relevant activities and application of course content and lesson material. Applying the content through activities that emulate real-world situations promotes better learning and engagement. 

The module does a good job identifying and describing evaluation and assessment categories and strategies - including the use of digital and online tools. 

This module presents the concept of andragogy. The speaker highlighted Knowles' principles of adult learning/learners. Those include the transition from dependent personality to self-direction, the accumulation of a reservoir of experience, readiness to learn, and a sense of timely urgency to apply the material. 

This module refers to "online augmentation" as a way to describe the additional tools available for online learning. The module also stresses the importance of connecting activities and technology to desired learning outcomes.

This module elaborates further on inactive learning and relates some of the concepts to the Schema theory. The module also offers content about how to avoid inactive learning and making assumptions about students. 

This module explains some key differences between passive learning and inactive learning. 

This module introduces concepts around active and passive learning. Inactive learning is also addressed. The module emphasized the value of active learning in all content areas.
