I learned that students have different learning preferences and as teachers we can tailor how we teach based on their preferences. Interacting, observing students will help us understand how they will learn better.

I learned the difference between language and literacy.  Even though students don’t have ENGLISH as their first language they can  have high literacy and vice versa. Also it is important to allow students to learn using their mother tongue as this can help them learn better. 

 Culture and race is important. Learning how to respect our students culture and race and diversities help us and our students have a good relationship and how to communicate with them better.

It is important to avoid biases such as gender bias. I have learned about cultural diversity and how important it is in our society but as well as to our students we teach.

I learned that there are different types of problem solvers and knowing what type of problem solver our students are, will help us how to teach them. 

I learned about creative solving skills, analytical skills, emotional intelligence and multiple intelligence helps us develop critical thinking skills

Critical thinking is important. The different components help a person develop critical thinking skills

I learned about critical thinking and its importance in learning/

I learned the 3 steps to flipping the classroom and it seems doable and would engage students more and have feedback and help during classroom time. I see the benefits. But yes it takes buy in and creativity.

I learned a lot from this. I learned about how bystanders can help prevent an incident.
