As an educator it is your duty to empower and reasure students that they have to make the right chioces and right decisions in life and one wrong decision can be a lifelong struggle of proving yourself and being rejected from jobs because of having a conviction and the type of conviction.

 

Instructors must strive for awareness of how race and ethnicity play out in the classroom. Resources reflecting diverse experiences should be included in the instructional process. Instructors should seek out resources to help them prepare to work with diverse student populations. 

Alternate assessments can provide instructors with a more complete picture of a student's abilities as he or she encounters reading materials. This provides a direct view of reading development in a variety of contexts. Alternate assessments go beyond traditional testing, as they evolve from regular classroom activities

The acquisition of learning strategies is particularly important for your ELL students, because they’re likely to already have a lot of natural abilities in their own native laguage which they can draw from. The goal will be to have them improve these same abilities in English.

Learn how to plan lessons that support English learners' language development, build background knowledge, and give students opportunities to access grade-level content.

It is equally important that ELL students are accommodated with a scaffolded instruction of learning and procesing the english language.

 

  • Differentiated instruction is a teaching approach that tailors instruction to students' different learning needs.
  • It lets students show what they know in different ways.
  • It doesn't replace the goals in a child's IEP or 504 plan.

I have learned that there are several kinds of mental disorders  that have accommodations set in place for all disabilities .

I have learned that no matter what disabilty one may have , they all can be high achievers and often find ways to compensate for their learning disabilities to become successful learners.
