There is a danger in using standardized test. Standardized test must be previewed to be sure to material has been taught before testing students, because some standardized test do not match the text book. It has been interesting studying the tests and there purposes for students. We will be using different test types to cover multiple study learning styles.

In the CTE programs we give assessments to see where students knowledge is on a task. I believe through reading this we should have both hands-on assessments and written assessments to get a better feel of where their knowledge is. We have to remember that our students are hands-on learners. As Bloom's Taxonomy mentions, we should engage student in higher levels of learning.

I have learned quite a bit on questioning in the class. Questioning students can measure a lot of things. How we ask the question and how broad the question is important. We should keep our questions specific and narrow enough that all students can answer them, this way gets more student participation. Redirecting the question, can still allow students to answer, check their knowledge, and spark deeper thinking.

Group learning can be powerful blending different learners together in the group. The different learners will bring different approaches to the question being answered. As we are teaching, we need to cover the different learning styles, so each learn can learn the tasks. Also, each person may better understand their learning styles.

We can learn from our mistakes and share those with students. However, not being firm with class rules and/or syllabus can lead to student problems. Being ready for classes and having tasks planned, keep students on a positive track for learning.

We should not allow for opportunities to cheat. Give students clear answer to questions when preparing for the test. Teach students how to remember key facts instead of whole text. We should do our best to learn and know our students. We can see student behavior in their body expressions and face.

I plan to hold the students less interested just as accountable as the attentive ones. I have to do that by being firm on assignments and have clear expectations. Also have a firm syllabus up front. Give most students an inch and they will take a mile.

Setting clear expectations up front and a rock solid syllabus gets the class off to a positive start. The syllabus gives the students boundaries for the class and holds them accountable for what is expected for the class. Then pacing through each of the PBL's and checking for student participation, input, and learning along the way.

I have learned more about the specific learning disabilities and data behind learning disabilities. 33 percent of students with learning disabilities have an above average intelligence. We have to give all students a good opportunity to education. All students can succeed when give the accommodations needed.

People who have learning disabilities have equal rights to educate and opportunity. We just need to see what accommodation are needed to help the student advance in their educatriion.
