Margaret, Unfortunately, I do not have an answer to your question. However, perhaps you should contact your state Board of Nursing or a public institution in your state that has a RN to BSN online program similar to yours. Dr. Robert Roehrich
Christopher, Providing structure is a crucial element, especially for the population typically targeted with online programs. In addition, to follow your thread, setting clear expectations is an essential element that must tie into a comprehensive orientation program, which is necessary for developing a clear understanding of the expectations as well as the commitment for success in an online program. Christopher, Beginning to offer quality online programs is a major undertaking that should always start with an "online learning strategy" that interfaces with the mission and goals of the institution. As part of that strategy student-to-content, student-to-faculty and student-to-student engagements are necessary and should be carefully thought out, planned and measured to ensure the online course is achieving the stated learning objectives. Betsy, Good response. How would you integrate your current academic strategy with an online strategy to achieve comparatively, similar retention and completion rates as your on ground programs? Dr. Robert Roehrich
Betsy, I believe you misunderstood the response required for this Forum. The questions are: "What are the training needs for online delivery of courses and programs at your institution"? and "Discuss how those needs were defined and who is responsible for implementing them". Please review your response and resubmit accordingly. Thank you, Dr. Robert Roehrich

Melva, Great post! Keep in mind that your policies and procedures will also have to comply with federal, state and accreditation requirements. How do you endure this is happening on your campus? Dr. Robert Roehrich

Jeanne, Absolutely! The goal to not only have an effective meeting, but to also demonstrate appreciation and respect to your board members. Dr. Robert Roehrich
Jeanne, Agreed, but I'm not sure I understand what you mean by organizational interfacing. If I'm interpreting you correctly, interfacing with the organization is fine, but the value of advisory boards is to provide industry and curricular advice and help the institution network within its business community to enhance opportunities for the institution and its graduates.
