Robin, As you point out, knowing your audience for any class or presentation is essential. This incorporated with content experts and a template in which students can find organized and pertinent information round out a great online course. The incorporation of all details/components is essential. Thanks!

Kim, I like the way you phrased your "top three" with questions. I would like to say that all instructors can say "yes" to all of your questions about meetin the course objectives. Variety is great. As for the delivery methods, yes and yes! Evaluation tools are also essential and there are varying opinions and research about the test-retest method of learning and the incorporation of a variety of questions. Critical thinking is important to think about throughout the assesssment process.

Kim, You bring up a good point. . .visual and auditory learners need to be included by adding content in those areas. Pictures, videos, etc. are essential. When students are only asked to read and respond online. . .it's hard to incorporate many learning styles. Dr. C.

Kim, Good point. . .there is a downfall in previously designed modules and course section. It's great if you can modify what is provided to you as to "tweak" that base information into what you and your students actually need. Thanks for sharing.
Toni, You hit the nail on the head when you noted that responses during the interviews will generate additional information. Students appreciate an opportunity to add to the learning process. Thank you.
Oh Toni - by all means! The "attaboys" are awesome for motivating students. You are right. There are so many different types of feedback and they are all important in different ways. What I don't like to see is when instructors say "good job" or "way to go" for everything and never provide meaningful feedback on specific assignments so students can grow in their learning. Thanks for you comments - for sure!

Billie, Thank you for bringing up the importance of scaffolding. I like that you also have analyzed your particular college and the "holes" that exist. With this knowledge you can move forward in reducing the holes with continued communicaiton. Way to go!
Betty, Ah ha. You are looking at peer evaluation as YOUR peers giving you feedback, but what about peer evaluation as students giving feedback to THEIR peers?
Betty, I very much like the terms you use - as you put them in common language. Yes, upbeat is essential. A positive tone helps students view feedback and important and viable. It is also essential to be complete and appropriate in feedback. Thanks for your added discussion to this topic.
