Dian, I'm thrilled you are learning from this experience. It's the same format in which your students can learn from each other. Lifelong learning is the key to life! ;-)

Eleni, Nice job and thanks for your input. Actually all of your considerations are connected. It's essential that the course material must be presented in an excellent format which engages students in a user-friendly environment. Excellent. Thanks!
Dian, Wanted to add a bit more. I love the organization of your input in these discussion boards and wealth of information. Thanks so much. The assignments, rubrics, activities, etc. in the course must be related to the course objectives/learning outcomes. You are right on target. Thank you.
Dian, I love that you are employing Bloom's Revised Taxonomy. Excellent! It is also essential to make the course content/activities, etc. applicable to real life - the real life of the student. The feedback you describe would motivate students to want to learn more. Thank you.
Juliette, You are correct that your syllabus is a key element, but when thinking about evaluation, please explain how 2-3 different types of evalutions provide value? Thanks!
Debi, Thanks for you input. The more input the better! Instructors and students may provide different feedback to help you create a better course the next time you teach or to make changes immediately (dynamic course) during the instruction. Thanks again.

Debi, Right on target. Communciation is a major element to the online classroom (and any classroom). The syllabus is one way to communicate as well. Doing some type of diagnostic test/evaluation/assessment of what the students know at the beginning of the course is also an excellent idea. Then, you know how quickly/slowly you need to proceed and what information the students can add to the conversation. Nice job.
Terry, Good point. The fact that feedback is important is the key. It's important, however, to provide it frequently and consistently in a fashion that the students can understand the feedback and learn from it. Thanks!

Terry, You are correct in that feedback is crucial. How do you provide feedback? Thanks!
Discussion Comment
Michelle, You reinforce the important facts that students learn in a variety of ways and are individuals with varying learning styles. This is correct! They also differ in age, culture, and aas you note technological ability. It is important to give some type of pre-assessment (diagnostic) to determine such factors. Nice job. Thank you.
