Erin, I love to use a FAQ discussion board. I have students post all questions pertaining to the course in this section and they will be answered within 24 hours. This alleviates my email overload as well. Thanks again.
Todd, I like that you have specific office hours and when you will answer your Google Voice messages. I do the same with my synchronous office hours using Adobe Connect. Thanks for your input in these forums.

Monica, I'm trying to think about what in my life is linear besides my age. ;-) We have to keep "working the teaching/learning system" in any fashion we can - linear or not. Thanks!

Anthony, All good points. Being "compliant" with the course objectives is major. Thanks for your input.

Simone, Yes, then review the rubric after you used it as well to see if it worked. Thanks!
Simone, Planning is a key component to developing an appropriate rubric that is connected to the learning objectives. You're right - you can't just "throw a rubric together" without planning and expect it to be a viable tool for all courses/sections of a course. Thanks!

Anthony, Thanks for hitting on all four parts. As we review each other's posts, be learn from a variety of definitions/perspectives.

Daniel, Yes, many times on my rubric there is a "mastery" level and these items go above and beyond simply meeting an objective. Good point.

Dan, I like your analogy. We do have to carefully fold in the objectives and uphold them. Rubrics help us do that. Thanks!

Daniel, You are right there, but there can also be some generic things that can be helpful. Nice job.
